I finished 2001: A Space Odyssey, written by Arthur C. Clarke, yesterday and loved the ending!
It was not something that I was expecting at all. I remember seeing part of the movie, but never could remember much about it. I am going to have to rent it now so that I can watch it again and see how they screen play differed from the novel or if they really did mesh them and make them one story.
