I started a new job in 2008 and in the summer of 2009 we hired a new guy to our team – Diesel. Diesel lived near me and so we started commuting together. He is a big-time prepper and keeps a 3 day emergency kit in his car. Once we started commuting together he started teaching me about the importance of having supplies on hand in case of an emergency. It took Diesel about a year to get me fully on board with packing an EDC bag and it took me another year to get my bag and gear together. I use a Maxpedition Versipack for my EDC.
