What I missed

Life has its ups & downs -
In my voice interest is heard.
My mind is miles away on another
thing -
can’t wait for the wild swings.
It’s the ups that pull me through.

The world would end & I’ll still
wonder what I missed in my
childhood.
All the girls & parties that I passed by
& the trouble making guys.
I stayed with the books
looking for the answers that only
life can give!
