Forensics Software Can Be Hacked
The security tools EnCase and The Sleuth Kit have been found to have vulnerabilities that would allow an attacker to inject code and corrupt or even destroy the investigation in progress. Some of the code has been patched and will be discussed at Black Hat next week.
