I saw the end of the World in my Rear View

by Iron Wil on July 17th, 2007

I saw the end of the World in my Rear View
as I drove into a Sunset . . .
dying light cast off by fire’s furry,
shades resting on my nose
protecting my eyes.

Winged ones filling the sky’s . . .
their swords reflecting the lights
speed filling my machine and body
fleeing from the destruction
knowing that it’ll catch up to me.

No matter where anyone
hides we’ll all face the wraiths
and angels that will cleanse the planet
I saw the end of the world in my Rear View . . .
and wondered if I’d really escape the end.
