snow is it a magical thing?

snow is amazing – pure white
bright!
soft . . . magical!!!
OH SO . . . magical! crystalline beauty
waking & finding your backyard
transformed . . .
a playground that wasn’t there before –
fields made anew,
wrapped in cold.

trees stand like lonely sentinels
frozen in place . . .
towering & sad . . .
but creating magic w/the white blanket -
the frozen confection -
snow.
