Ants in a Row

by Iron Wil on June 9th, 2007

summer days pass like
clouds in the sky;
seasons change with the blowing of the wind,
time is merciless . . . he waits for no one.

patience is not his forté,
hurrying forward to pass each marches;
ticking off the passing years -

we push, we struggle
trying to squeeze more & more
into our days -
it doesn’t work.

it’s funny to watch
the “ants” of society -
hustle & bustle,
they try to fill their days
it just becomes meaningless moments

meaning drains as they have nothing to live for . . .

I smile & relax -
willing to share if they would be willing to listen.
