"We need help, the Poet reckoned"

“We need help, the Poet reckoned.”
Tis true, help we do need,
but tis not the help that I question;
But who it comes from & what
their true motifs are.

Don’t we all question our
Governments at some time -
it’s in our history.
It may not be openly -
but – even showing open
oppressors views; yet,
it doesn’t make anyone wrong?

Poets reckon a lot of this -
but they still would be wrong.
Politics is just a mind game now -
groups of crooked people leading
less crooked people?

We think that the leaders
know what’s going on -
but I wonder if anybody
knows

THE TRUTH?

as a poet, I reckon we need help.
